Best Week Ever!!

This week Maegan and Mackenzie came to stay with us while their parents were in the Dominican Republic. And we had a blast!!!! I have decided I could play with them all day every day. We ate lots of cup cakes from my favorite bakery, we went there several times during their stay!
We hiked up to the "Y".

We also baked cookies, a couple times, and Moose helped too. We went to see Toy Story III and Shrek. Not all in the same day.
Coda, their dog, also came to stay. During meal times this was their usual positions. Both begging for a little bite. They especially liked french toast night.
One day we went to seven peaks and we all had so much fun!
Then on Saturday we joined Nic, Camryn, Brooklyn, and Kendyl, on the lake!

Can you believe this little body skiing? I know, it's one of the cutest things ever!!!
This is the best photo I got of Ryan wakeboarding and it doesn't showcase his best on the wakeboard, but I thought I'd better prove that I still have a husband and we spend time together, inspite of the lack of pictures of him lately.Brooklyn chillin on her favorite spot on the boat next to the ski!

I'd like to say this is me, but I'm afraid the hair color and buldging muscles would prove other wise. This is in fact Nic, he never disapoints.

We had such a great week with all our nieces! I don't know how we got so lucky

Ladies in Las Vegas!!

Celina has been living in Ethiopia since January, but had to come home while they have their elections, so I jumped on the chance to take a little girlies trip! And the only logical place to go when one comes from spending the last 5 months in rural Ethiopia is Las Vegas! We got a room at the Bellagio and were on our way!!!
After a leisurely afternoon at the pool we had dinner at Serendipity and then went to see Letters to Juliet. We were The Only people in the theatre on opening night! It was quite funny at the time!
I met up with one of my best friends from high school, Lauren Barker, and we spent the whole day laying out with a brief intermission to hit up Wichcraft for a delicious sandwich were we met these fine ladies....
April and Emily!!! They are both old room mates of mine. Yes they are cute and dressed, we however could not be bothered to put clothes on....

Saturday night we hit up Four Kegs, which we found on Diners Drive ins and Dives, It was A-MA-ZING!!! We ate fried macaroni and cheese wedges, which did not sound so appetizing to me at first, but trust me when I say, they rocked my world. And they would rock yours too, I am quite sure of it! We also had stromboli and chicken nachos. Our waitress was one of those people who you just love immediately! From the laced-up knee high converse sneakers, to the crocodile purse skin, I instantly wanted her to be my friend. I will always remember her and her love for the fj cruiser (yea, we bonded over our cars) and I am forever in her debt for introducing me to my new favorite food!!! We have laughed that at Serendipity my bill was $40 for a salad and oreo dessert, and at four kegs it was $7 for what seemed like a never ending table of fried deliciousness!!
Then, this one needed to go to this specific pawn shop from the Pawn Stars tv show! She was very disapointed when it was closed at 9 even though it says open 24 hours.
Gardens at Bellagio.
Thank you ladies for an incredible trip. "I'll love you forever I'll like for always, as long as I'm living my besties you'll be!!"

Moose the Bulldog(?)

The first picture is our dog Moose, he was expensive, and we have loved him very much but we have always thought he didn't really look like a bulldog. The second picture is what he should look like. The fact that he doesn't look like a bulldog has not affected how much we love him, but we have felt a little ripped off, money-wise. People always ask us if he's a boxer because his legs are so long.
The other day Ryan had taken Moose with him to play softball with a bunch of friends and someone asked him if Moose was an Olde English bulldog. I always thought an English bulldog and Olde English bulldog were the same. Turns out, they're not!!! We got on the website from the people we bought him from and it turns out Moose is Olde English Bulldog.

This is what they are supposed to look like:

Much more like Moose, turns out he looks just as he should. Olde English bulldogs are a mix of Bull Masstiff, American Bulldog and Pit Bull. They were made to look like an english bulldog without the health problems. So mystery Solved and kind of a funny story!!!

DC & Annapolis

Over Easter weekend I joined my parents, Sean, and Dani (foreign exchange student) in Washington DC along with 20 million other people who decided to be there for the Cherry Blossom festival. I haven't been to DC since I was 12, so it was neat to neat to go see all the sights again. This picture above is Sean, Dani, and I on the metro making our way into the city.
This is the Capital building the first day in DC the weather was beautiful!!!

On Sunday my parents dropped my off at Carole Ann's house to spend a few days. It was so much fun to meet her little boy Johnathon, who is adorable. I didn't get many pictures, sad. On Monday we drove to Annapolis and did some shopping. It was a beautiful place to just sit on the water and eat crab legs and crab cakes and catch up.
