St Thomas

Sunday after a hard day of laying out by the pool at our hotel we boarded our cruise ship. But not before we witnessed a police chase followed by a beat down in the street! It was slightly horrifying but even more funny.  Anyway, after a long day lounging in the sun and eating our weight in chicken strips and soft serve ice cream we went for a nice sit down dinner followed by an evening of karaoke.

Ryan and I sang "Summer Nights", then Steff and I sang our usual "Hit Me Baby One More Time"(we were a hit!)
Then Ryan and Steff brought down the house with their rendition of "Love Shack"! The ladies in front also LOVED Tanner and Nic's, "Margaritaville"!  Needless to say, I think the Clark's set a pretty high bar for everyone else on the ship!
Our first port was St Thomas.  We all hopped in a taxi and went to Coki Beach.  The weather was nice, the snorkeling was fun, and we all had an awesome day!
Steff and me preparing for an adventure!
Sue and her "Victoria's Secret" shot!
I've always wanted to paddle board, since you always see celebrities doing it in the magazines. It was a little trickier than it looks but got boring fast. I'm glad I did it!
On our way to do some shopping.

Puerto Rico

For Christmas this year my parents gave us all a wonderful cruise out of Puerto Rico (I know....we're very spoiled). We flew into San Juan the day before the cruise so we could hang out by the pool and hit up the Bio bay one more time.  My grandparents, my Aunt Sue, cousin Sydney, and Sue's boyfriend, Goob(Robert) and his two boys came with us!! We had the best vacation! It could not have been better weather(except our day at sea was rainy) all of our excursions were a blast.  And we laughed and laughed all week!

If you ever go Puerto Rico, the bio bay is a must! It is one of the coolest experiences I've ever had!

We had enough time the next day before we got on the ship to wander around San Juan a little and lay by the pool! It was Hot!!

Dr Suess PartyTime!!

Hudson's first Birthday was a big deal for me. I fully realize he will not remember or care about this party. But I like having and throwing parties, so it was more for me. My mom told me a long time ago that the child's birthday should be more of a celebration for the mother than the child anyway. After all, the mom did all the work on the day we are celebrating. So back to my day.... it was Dr. Suess themed.
My friend, Roni, came with her little boy, Bode. They are destined to be best friends.
Uncle Sean gave Hudson his present and he loved them!
They were little animal figurines that Tanner and Sean always used to play with when they were little. We were so excited to find them in Blickenstaff's the other day.
Ryan's family all came. Grandma, Laurel, and Aimee
Eva just had back surgery last week and she even made it to the party!
Our friends from our ward, Veronica and Matt came. It's too bad I didn't get a better picture of them.
On Hudson's actual birthday he did so well eating his cupcake. On Saturday he was not having his cake. He screamed!

This was the dessert table. We had sugar cookies, cake batter muddy buddies, cake pops, cupcakes, an actual birthday cake and chocolate covered marshmallows. I might have gone a little overboard. The sign in the back says "Today you are you. That's truer than true. There is no one alive that is you-er than you! Happy birthday to you!"
He loved opening presents!
Matt and Kate gave him this Dr. Suess bag with some Dr Suess books in it! So Cute!
But then he hated when I would take the present away so he could open another one.

We had "Green Eggs and Ham" for lunch.
Mackenzie is modeling our cake pop boquets.
The guessing game was the only game we played. There were 444 swedish fish in the vase. My mom guessed 439 and my brother, Matt, guessed 437. Without talking to eachother about it! Crazy! I'm always way off on things like this. I guessed 167 (Ryan prepared and counted the fish)
Allen, Kim, and Aimee with their "Hudson" water.
Tanner and Kate
These are our party favors with buckeyes inside that my mom made.
It was a fun party and I still have lots of cake if anyone wants them!

Adventures with Nana!

My mom is in town for a visit which makes for a good time. Wednesday night we went up to Midway to have dinner for my uncle Michael's birthday. We ate at Tarahumara, a mexican restaurant, and it was DELICIOUS!! Ryan said they had the best tamales he'd even had!
My cousin, Aliyah, is Hudson's new favorite person alive! She entertained him all night long. I offered her a room at our house to live, one day I'll convince her.

Earlier that day we met Kate, Elle, and Averi at the park. It was a little windy, but we still had fun.

Kristen had been out of town for a while and her and Hudson don't like to go very long without seeing each other so we met up at Orange Leaf for some frozen yogurt.

Friday night we went to City Creek to do some shopping and have dinner.

Hudson's 1st Birthday!! (the actual day)

I can not believe my baby is 1!! But at the same time I can't really remember not having him around!(in a good way) We love him so much and he is so fun! We are having a party for him this weekend but on his actual birthday we celebrated with Nana and a cupcake!

He fed most of it to Moose and his daddy.

Of course then he got dumped into the tub so he was nice and clean again. Happy Birthday baby we love you!!
