Clark Family Christmas!!

Every Christmas season we look forward to the Clark Family Christmas party. We wonder how every year every one makes such good food and treats, and how hysterical everyone is!!! This year was no exception! We had a blast. The ones who were not there were very missed. Especially our dear uncle Robert who was killed last February, we all miss him very much and it's hard to get past the sadness. But I think he would have been proud. We had a fiesta this year, with mexican food, a pintata, lots of fun decorations, and of course....Tequila!!! just kidding! Steff's parents were generous to loan out their beautiful home in Pineview and we were so grateful. Some of the highlights were Nic's version of Feliz Navidad, catching Patti and Kurt making out in the pantry, snuggies, Nic and Tanner trying to do Syd and Quincie's flexibility trick, sugar cookie decorating at 8 am, watching old home videos of Robert going up the highest steepest mountains in Idaho and then watching him cling to the rock on Angels Landing saying"he was going to wet his pants" cause he was so scared.

The picture above is the pinata aftermath...unfortunately I think I ate most of the candy..
I love this picture of Camryn and Ryan!
Pinata remains
Sorry Kate and Steff, I couldn't resist giving this picture as my white elephant. I should be wayyy more embarassed.....but I'm not!
Ryan showing you can be tucked inside your snuggie and use your cell phone! Patti thought it was funny. (Just so you know, he picked this on his own free will)
Night time!

Shower Time!

One of my good friends Nicole is getting married!! So it was time for good food, presents, and lots of laughing. Nicole is hysterical, and brutally honest, which is why I love her! So Kristen, Melinda, and I planned a shower. The above picture is me, Kristen and Lauren.

Then what am I doing?!?

Last night Ryan and I were looking through all my pictures on my computer....and I'll admit....I have had a few chubby phases in my life...more than I'd like to admit. And Ryan made the comment " I think you might be prettier when you are chubby." It made my day.........kind of.

Thanksgiving and Las Vegas!!!

These pictures aren't in order...sorry. One of these days I'll figure it out. For Thanksgiving this year the Nelson's headed to St George. Our niece was having a baby and a nephew was getting married, so it was nice to able to go down there to be there for all the events. Since we were so close to Vegas we went and saw the Lion King. I have already seen it...but suggested we all see it because I LOVED it so much. It is incredible! If you ever get the chance......SEE IT! The picture above is Ryan and I at the Mandalay Bay buffet.
This is Ryan, our niece Mackenzie, myself and a replica of Scar in his costume!
Mackenzie and I in front of our house which was awesome!!

Oh Christmas Tree!

This year is the first year I have had a Christmas tree in six years! Since I moved away from home. So I was pretty excited, I bypassed Thanksgiving decorations and jumped from Halloween to Christmas! We're going out of town for Thanksgiving and I wanted it to be up and done when we got home, so maybe I got a head start! I LOVE the holidays!

Update!

Look how long my ponytail is getting!
That's all!

Nana Came to Play!

It's so fun when my mom comes in town, it's like my best friend is coming to visit. Plus that means I get to see my girlies!!and Nic and Steff too. Anyway while she was here we went up to the Nelson family cabin, and went 4 wheeling, watched lots of movies, and just layed around!
We went to the lake by the cabin to just walk around , it was beautiful! Moose decided to jump in even though bulldogs can not swim, and it was freezing! Ryan had to rescue him.

Catch up time!

Wow, it's been a while since I posted last. One of my best friends Carole Ann came in town and it was so fun to spend time with her, her husband John, and the little nugget which will make its debut in January! These pictures are from Halloween at Kristen and Scott's house! I honestly think I have the best friends in the world, and we always have so much fun together!

In the beginning of October we up to the cabin with Ryan's family and we woke up to all this snow! Moose loved it!

Funny/ Weird

A couple funny things happened to me this week:

1. I was outside taking Moose potty, and we walked over to get the mail. Then we had to go bring in the garbage from the side of the road. Okay to recap. One hand holding Moose, and straining to keep a hold because there were people walking past that he desperately wanted to approach. Other hand mail, keys, and pulling garbage can. I finally pulled hard enough on Moose to get his attention, and he jumped up on me, nails dug in hard and pulled my loose sweatpants clear to my ankles.
PS there were still people walking by, I live in a busy neighborhood!

2. I was curling my hair the other day and the a little screw popped out and down my shirt, where it burned me, I shook , the screw brushed up against my stomach, burned me(all the while high pitched screaming), I shook ....fell down the pants, where it burned my thigh, I shook...fell to my ankle where it came to a stop in my socks. I now have almost perfect little screw outlines in a perfect little line down my body. I quite obviously will be buying a new curling iron first thing tomorrow. Moose thought the little performance was quite funny.

A Note to my Love

No this is not a letter to Moose, but my other love. I have become increasingly aware of just how lucky I really am to have married my Ryan. I have always known that he was great and incredible, but the other day he walked in the door with a brand new shiny ipod. (Mine had been lost the previous week, it is still being debated who actually lost it.) I had not asked him to buy me one, and the fact that it was gift is not what I was impressed me. It was the fact that he thought about how much it would mean to me, and as someone who runs and frequents the gym, he knows how precious my ipod was to me. Since then, I have been thinking a lot about all the wonderful things he does and puts up with. The first would be that he deals quite well with the tv always being on the food network channel. I know he doesn't love it, but he hardly ever gives me a hard time. He has instead, made up his own words to the theme song of almost every different chefs show. He deals with my inability to make a decision, usually which kind of treat I want our way home from somewhere. I can't tell you how many times we have been in the parking lot of an icecream place when I decide I want Krispy Kreme instead. He also supports my Diet Coke habit. I shouldn't say that, he always suggests I quit, but when I'm having a not so good day or feel sick he always offers to go get me one from Maverik. He will go see chick flicks with me. He is always so appreciative of my cooking, and he's a joy to cook for because he loves everything. He doesn't make me feel stupid for my computer illiteracy. He shares an equally ridiculous love for Moose. He doesn't complain when I drag him to Idaho 3 weekends in a row. He thinks, or at least tells me, that I'm beautiful every single day. He knows every single reference to a movie or song. He is so good with my nieces! 75% of what comes out of his mouth is singing! He is the best running partner! He's silly! I have so much fun with him everyday and I am so excited to be able to spend the rest of my life laughing with Ryan.

Moose wishes you all a Happy Weekend!

This is where he will be spending his weekend, watching the football game, and eating some wings! If you get bored come on over and join him!

The Farm!

Camryn and Brooklyn came and stayed with us last weekend, and we had so much fun!!! It's been so fun watching them grow up and see the little people they have turned into! They say the funniest things. For example, a couple weeks ago we stopped by their house on the way up to Idaho and Moose was with us. Camryn was so concerned about making sure Moose had lots of water to drink. I said " ok Camryn that's enough water we have a long way to go in the car"
Nic, joined in and said, keep in mind they are just finishing potty training, " Camryn thats enough water, we don't want him to wet his pants!"
Camryn thought about it for a minute, tilted her head and while a sly smile on her face said "Silly, he doesn't wear pants!"
I thought it was funny. I also got a kick out of Brooklyn when we stopped at Target on our way home. We had one bag full of bags of candy, some my little ponies, and a few other things, but the bag was heavy. Brooklyn insisted on carrying the bag to the car. She had the bag thrown over her shoulder Santa style, all hunched over because of the weight, then she had to move to just dragging it behind her with both hands. Her face remained so calm, and everytime I asked her if I could help, "No, I'm ok I got it!" We had quite a line formed behind us and everyone was chuckling to see this little teeny girl lugging this giant heavy grocery bag.
Saturday we went to the farm at Thanksgiving Point and we had so much fun!
