New York!

We have had a lot of changes around our house in the past few weeks. Ryan was offered a consulting job in Rochester, NY that was just too good to pass up. It is only a six month contract and because of my job along with a few other things we decided that he would just move there and we would travel back and forth on the weekends. So Ryan drove out a few weeks ago and I flew in the following weekend. Ryan's niece, Shanon, lives in Rochester with her cute family, so we were able to spend some time with them. We went to the Hill Cumorah Pageant Friday night, and we were so impressed with the performance. We also went to the Sacred Grove. All the tours were closed but we were able to walk through the grove for a few minutes. What an Incredible place!! It was very special.

Saturday we went to Niagra Falls with Shanon and her family and our other niece, Lauren, who was visiting Shanon from Utah. I have been to the falls several times but I have never been on the Maid of the Mist. So we had a lot of fun!
Jacob, our Great-nephew, was baptized on Sunday. So we got to go and Ryan even got to give a talk on Baptism. He did such a great job (because he's such a great great-uncle!)
So as hard as the weeks have been with him gone we had so much fun in New York. Don't feel too bad for me, I have incredible family and friends in Utah that keep me entertained and having fun.....thanks Nic, Steff, and girls, and Kristen!!!

Celebrating the 4th on the 5th!

Monday the 5th we participated in the annual Clark family fun run! Ok....it's not the Clark family run, but most of us do it! I was not looking forward to running because since getting my bike I have no interest in running anymore. But it really is fun to do with so many members of my family.
This is the whole gang who ran. I was so proud of everyone!!
My mom, me and sister in law Steff.
My immediate family who ran! Tanner, Smelly, my dad, me Ryan, Nic, Steff, and Sean.
After we ran, we got cleaned up and headed to the parade. There is nothing like the Soda Spring parade. It's so fun, and we got soooo much candy.
This is me getting the precious Double Bubble that was stranded in the middle of the street.
After the parade there is a carnival in the park.
And then we ate snow cones and watched the boys compete in a 3 on 3 basketball game
As if we hadn't had enough fun for one day we headed to my uncle Wade's house for lunch and lucky us he had a zip line that was about a quarter mile long. So fun!! We also had a delicous lunch, every thing tastes better in Soda, or everything grandma makes is heavenly!

One of the best 4th of July's EVER!!

Stadium of Fire!!

I wanted to go to Stadium of Fire ever since I found out Carrie Underwood was performing. And as luck would have it our good friends Sara and Josh and 3 extra tickets. Ryan's sister Aimee also joined us.

Carrie performed the National Anthem and it was magical. (yes, Carrie and I are on a first name basis) She sang acapella, and when she sand "the bombs bursting in air" fireworks went off right on time. And when she hit her last note 4 fighter jets flew over the stadium!! It was awesome!! I had tears in my eyes, and Ry was embarassed!
These were the 4th of July cookies I made. They are raspberry and blueberry flavored and as good as they are cute!

Schenk Reunion!

This picture was not taken at the reunion, it was taken at Britten's farewell. These three handsome cousins won't see each other for at least 4 years due to overlapping missions. Britten is headed to Brazil, and he will be a great missionary!
To start the reunion we all went swimming at the pool in Lava, Idaho, which has been a favorite of mine since I was a little kid. The highlight of the day was when Tyler did a backflip off the 3rd platform!!
Isn't he so handsome!
Then we headed to Bancroft, where my mom grew up, and camped out. I actually stayed in a hotel but many others camped. All these cute little girls are my cousins, along with my nieces Camryn, and Brooklyn.
Taking Camryn and Brooklyn for a ride!
I don't know many other families who could create such competitive teams with talented players out of only family members. My team won!..... Depending on who you ask!
My cousins Nichole, and Heather and Camryn watching the Schenk version of Minute to Win It! It was the funniest game show I have ever seen!!

This is my mom's game, she had to knock all the cups down with the ball tied to her waist not using any other part of her body.
Kyle and Sean had to get pennies out of the toes of panty hose not using the other hand to help. I like this picture because they look like they are doing a dance.
My game was to move those cotton balls from one end of the table to the other on a plate by sucking them in with nose. I, of course, won! Who were they thinking could compete with these nostrils, the only time their size has come in so handy.
Nichole's challenge, I won't go into I just like the picture.
Nana and Papa with their cute little girlies!

The next day we all went for a 4 wheeler ride to the top of Mount Baldy. We had so much fun. There were 17 atvs.
My cousins Britten and Jaxon.

At the top!

The view was so beautiful and we had a few little snacks before we departed again.

The FlowRider!!!

Nana, Papa, and Sean came to town and I had heard Great things about the Lindon City Pool! All True!! It had a FlowRider, which is the surfing simulator, and we had a blast and a really good laugh at each other.

The above picture is to show you how you get started. And this picture is to show you how we all ended up 2 seconds after letting go of the rope!

This is Steff, she got much better as time went on, this was just one of her first attempts, and quite a funny one, I might add!
Nic, of course, out did us all.
When we were at Nic and Steff's house Sean was just hanging out in the family room by him self and this is what I found him doing. I thought it was funny, and typical Sean.
