This is me at 38 weeks pregnant. I feel like I look extra large in this picture but everyone told me I had to wear a tight shirt this time since the last one was playing an optical illusion. I also feel like I have tripled in size in the last few weeks. I went to the Dr today and was 2cm dilated and 80% effaced. (It's hard for me to be an adult and say any of that without gagging or snickering)Next order of important business is a name.....any of you who know me or my husband know that we having quite the time with a name. We agreed on Hudson early on when we found out it was a boy......it's Ryan's middle name, which gives a little extra meaning and I just plain like......I feel like it's not too trendy but doesn't sound made up. We've had a couple of other names we both kind of like.....Jude(which Ryan now doesn't like) Milo(which became super popular all of the sudden) and Christian. But Ryan now has his heart set on......brace yourselves.....Kirby. I can't even type this without getting a little frustrated. Help me explain why this is an awful idea. Any suggestions of talking him out of it would help. We value your opinion.
NO kirby! i like hudson and jude. do not give in on kirby though.

whenever i hear the name Kirby, i think of a video game i had for gameboy years ago. I like Milo the best out of those. I haven't heard it at all, but it is annoying when the name you choose is either already really trendy or becomes trendy.

Just wait til you have the little guy and once he sees what you have gone through he well be more sympathetic and give in. or you can just get in an argument about it, slam some doors, start bawling hysterically, and he will crack. This is how I got maycee's room painted! Good luck with everything!
ReplyDeleteYOu think typing "effaced" feels weird, just wait until your new official title becomes "mom" in a couple weeks. Crazy. You look so great...that's seriously most peoples' 6 month belly- not 38 weeks. Your obviously using the name Hudson...no questions asked. I trust your ability to convince Ryan of anything. Can't wait for my new nephew!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have the same belly but I'm only 30 weeks! NOT FAIR! You look INCREDIBLE and I'm so excited to meet baby HUDSON! Agreed with The Nana - its a Vacuum! Hudson is seriously the perfect name I am positive you can convince Ryan of anything. Good luck with the next few weeks!

Kirby has a certain cuteness about it, but not enough to name a kid that. ;) Glad you went with Hudson. You do NOT look 38 weeks!
